The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has set up the e-mail address coronavirus.merci@esteri.it in order to assist Italian companies which should experience in these days limitations to the circulation of their products or other unjustified discriminatory measures (such as obstacles at ports of entry towards their vectors) because of the spreading of the COVID-19 virus in Italy.
Once the warning has ben made, the Ministry will be able to assist in collaboration with the Embassy.
Moreover, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has noted that at the moment there is no evidence that food is a likely source or route of transmission of the virus.
