7th edition of the Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World. Event in Langa Township (Cape Town)

In the framework of the initiatives aimed at promoting the 7th edition of the Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World, the event organised by the Italian Consulate in Cape Town in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Pretoria, was held in the Township of Langa (Cape Town), at the Eziko cooking school, with the participation of the Italian Chef Lorenzo Cantoni and his assistant Matteo Angelini from the restaurant “Il Frantoio” in Assisi. The social event was greatly appreciated by the local community, representing an opportunity to promote the image of Italian cuisine as an accessible heritage for all segments of the population and not a privilege reserved for only a few. The preparation of simple meals, together with the explanation of their nutritional values by Dr. Marina Carcea, constituted an important training experience, also in order to guide future South African chefs towards Italian food products.
