On the 18th of February 2020, a reception was held at the Residence of the Ambassador of Italy in Cape Town on the occasion of the opening of the South African Parliament. The Ambassador of Italy Paolo Cuculi and Mme Oriana Mannaioli Cuculi, together with the Italian Consul in CT Emanuele Pollio, welcomed, amongst others, the Deputy Minister in the Presidency Thembi Siweya, the Speaker of the Provincial Parliament of the Western Cape Masizole Mqasela and other members of the legislature, and the Deputy Mayor of Cape Town Ian Neilson.
