The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation offers, for the academic year 2019-2020, new scolarships to study in Italy for students from South Africa, Lesotho and Madagascar. A share of the scholarships is earmarked for Italians residing abroad (enlisted in the AIRE register).
The call for application, with further information on the procedure to apply, is published on the website Study in Italy. The deadline is June 12 at 2 pm (Italian time).
Students aiming to enrol in the following courses may apply:
– Master’s Degree (Laurea Magistrale 2° ciclo – 6 or 9 months)
Admission to the first year of a Master’s Degree course in Italy requires the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in the applicants’ country of origin; admission to the second year is granted to applicants upon evidence to be on track with their first year studies.
– Courses of Higher Education in Arts, Music, and Dance (AFAM) – 6 or 9 months
– PhD program – 6 or 9 months
– Research under academic supervision (Progetti in co-tutela) – 6 or 9 months
– Italian Language and Culture Courses – 3 months
Bachelor’s Degree, “Laurea Magistrale a ciclo unico (5-year Master’s Degree)” (apart from renewals), Master courses and 1-month trainings for Italian language teachers will not qualify.
The scholarship will amount to 900 euro per month.
