Young people from all over the world can now apply until the 28th of February to take part in the COP26 event dedicated to the young voices. You can find more information on how to apply on the dedicated website of the United Nations Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth:

In recent years, young people have been a strong voice in the battle for the fight against global warming and for environmental sustainability. In the context of the events leading to the COP26 in Glasgow (UK), the Italian government (who will bear the travel and stay costs) and the other partners – the UK government, the Office of the UN Secretary-General Envoy for Youth, YOUNGO – wanted to give young people prominence and visibility.

The invitation to participate is addressed at all the young leaders (aged 15 to 29) active in climate change and sustainabvle development. They will have the opportunity to be in Milan from September 28 to September 30 2021 and discuss with young colleagues from all over the world the policies and steps that will be necessary to ensure a sustainable future. On the last day, they will present a Final Declaration to the Ministers who will be in Milan for the UNFCCC PreCOP26 taking place in the following days.

Youth4Climate: Driving Ambition is the result of a long process carried out during 9 virtual events on the UNFCCC process.

The aim is to select 2 representatives from each of the 197 signatories of the UNFCCC, in any case respecting a gender and geographical balcance.
