Embassies and Consulates also provide services to foreign nationals. Among the services available are:
- the issuance of entry visas for travel to Italy or the Schengen area;
- the issuance of dichiarazioni di valore for study or employment purposes in Italy;
- the processing of applications related to the request for a tax code and the acquisition of Italian citizenship, by descent or naturalisation;
- the issuance of administrative documentation such as the legalisation of documents, certificates of existence in life, and certifications of conformity of translations of official acts.
Furthermore, in the cases provided for under current legislation, Embassies and Consulates transmit acts and documents to the Italian Authorities.

NOTICE
The Embassy of Italy no longer accepts cash payments. Payment for all Consular Services and Visa applications must be made exclusively via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). All bank charges related to the transfer are the responsibility of the applicant, and the full amount due must be credited to the Embassy’s bank account. Should the amount received be less than the required fee, the requested services or documents cannot be processed, and any amount already paid will not be refunded. Applicants are strongly advised to verify with their bank that all transfer charges are covered by the sender. To avoid additional fees associated with cash deposits, payment via EFT is requested.
The payment reference must correspond to the surname of the person requesting the Consular Service, not the name of the person making the payment, if different.
