On the occasion of the celebrations of the Italian Republic’s Day at the Italian Ambassador’s Residences, Caterina Meldolesi, Lulama Taifasi, Lorenzo Martelli, Lodovico Filippo Ravizza, Matteo Mancini e Gianni Fabbrini, artists from the Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the international advanced training center of the homonymous opera house in Florence, performed on June the 2nd in Pretoria – with the South African Minister for Basic Education Angie Motshekga as a special guest – and June the 4th in Cape Town.
In collaboration with the Consulate General in Johannesburg, the Consulate in Cape Town and the Italian Cultural Institute, a tournee in the country was also organized for them which took place on:
- 01/06 in the Great Hall of Wits University in Johannesburg
- 03/06 in the Pam Golding Theater hall of the Baxter Theater Center in Cape Town
- 06/06 at the Playhouse Theater in Durban.
