Our Republic is eighty years old. A relatively short history, when compared to that of other nations, yet one rich in events, achievements, tragedies, and struggles; a history in which so many Italians have played a leading role.
To celebrate this important anniversary together online and on social media, the Presidency of the Republic is launching this initiative aimed at all citizens, inviting them to create a short video with their cell phones in which they share what the Republic means to them.
The idea is to encourage a moment of reflection on the meaning of the republican choice and our country’s recent history, particularly involving younger generations, with the goal of gradually creating a living archive of women and men from all regions and of all ages: the faces (and voices) of the Republic!
