A relatively short history, when compared to that of other nations, yet one rich in events, achievements, tragedies, and struggles; a history in which so many Italians have played a leading role.<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate this important anniversary together online and on social media, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>the Presidency of the Republic is launching this initiative aimed at all citizens<\/strong>, inviting them to create a short video with their cell phones in which they share what the Republic means to them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The idea is to encourage a moment of reflection on the meaning of the republican choice and our country\u2019s recent history, particularly involving younger generations, with the goal of gradually creating a living archive of women and men from all regions and of all ages: the faces (and voices) of the Republic!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">For all information and to participate, visit the website<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/ivoltidellarepubblica.quirinale.it\/\">I volti della Repubblica<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Our Republic is eighty years old.
