{"id":3129,"date":"2026-05-11T11:16:43","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T09:16:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ambpretoria.esteri.it\/?p=3129"},"modified":"2026-05-11T11:20:28","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T09:20:28","slug":"grants-for-international-academic-and-cultural-exchanges-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ambpretoria.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dall_ambasciata\/2026\/05\/grants-for-international-academic-and-cultural-exchanges-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Grants for International Academic and Cultural Exchanges \u2013 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, through its Directorate-General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation (DGCE), provides reimbursements to support the international mobility of researchers, academics, and cultural professionals.<\/p>\n<p>These grants are funded under Chapter 2619\/7 and aim to strengthen international cooperation in the fields of research, higher education, and culture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scope of the Grants<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contributions are awarded, upon application, to cover\u00a0<strong>travel and accommodation expenses<\/strong>\u00a0for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Researchers, lecturers, experts, cultural figures, and cultural operators invited abroad by foreign universities or cultural institutions<\/li>\n<li>Researchers, lecturers, experts, cultural figures, and cultural operators invited to Italy by Italian universities or cultural institutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The programme is designed to foster\u00a0<strong>academic exchange, joint research initiatives, and long-term international collaboration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The grants are open to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>a)<\/strong>\u00a0Italian and foreign applicants\u00a0<strong>residing in Italy for at least two years<\/strong>, invited by foreign academic or cultural institutions for study or research purposes<\/li>\n<li><strong>b)<\/strong>\u00a0Italian and foreign applicants\u00a0<strong>residing abroad<\/strong>, invited by Italian academic or cultural institutions for study or research purposes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote international academic and cultural cooperation<\/li>\n<li>Support researcher and expert mobility<\/li>\n<li>Encourage the development of joint research programmes<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen global networks between institutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For more information and documentation please write to\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"mailto:iicpretoria.corsi@esteri.it\"><strong>iicpretoria.corsi@esteri.it<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, through its Directorate-General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation (DGCE), provides reimbursements to support the international mobility of researchers, academics, and cultural professionals.
